Jen's Cabin and a Bon fire

Over presidents day weekend I went with a bunch of my friends, who are all teachers, up to my old roomie Jen's cabin. We went up to go watch movies, play games and go sledding. There was tons of snow up there and we got the cars stuck once, but besides that it was great. We mostly sat around told stories and ate pizza and junk food. The only thing that sucked was having to flush the toilet with a bucket of water. We had to go outside to the pump and fill the bucket every time. It kind of made you not want to drink anything, so you didn’t have to go.

The next morning a bunch of us went out for a little walk in the snow. There was a light snow storm so we thought we'd enjoy it. When we got back we played a little dare game with dice. I was the only sorry sole who had to do something. It wasn't bad though. I just had to kill all the flies upstairs. It was a pretty fun weekend.

A week later I was able to go with some friends out to the west desert and have a bon fire. It was freezing cold, but once we got the fire started it was toasty. We did have the cursed luck of starting the fire in the area with the most mud. Our shoes and chairs were caked in the stuff.

We also brought up some 4 wheelers and went out for rides. It was cold and I kind of got numb to it after awhile. The stars were really pretty though and it was worth it. We usually blow things up on these trips, but we were good this time. Well we were good only because we didn’t have time to buy anything to blow up.

Visit to Cali and the Super Bowl

I was able to go visit my friends Lydia and Markus Tolman in California on super bowl weekend. Her little baby Max was having his baby blessing. I had a little cold so I tried to stay as far away from little Max as possible, so I didn't get to hold the cute little guy. They had a big get together at their house after, the blessing. We ate lasagna, chatted and made some new friendships.

After the party we went over to Markus's parents house for the super bowl party. Lydia didn't watch, but the rest of us camped out on the couch with chips and soda and had a fun filled night. I was just sad that I had to leave the wonderful weather and head back to Salt Lake.
