Today I came back to Chicago from Salt Lake City on a mainline United plane. When we were landing, almost touching down on the runway, the plane started climbing again and flying away. In a few minutes the capt. came on and said there was a problem with the landing gear.
He came back in the cabin, opened up a floor panel, and looked to see if the gear was locked into place.
Some of the people in the Cabin were very edgy. When we finally went in for a landing there were emergency vehicles at the end of the runway. When we got to the other end of the runway, there were even more fire trucks, police cars, ambulances, even a bus to take us away if something bad happend. It was just weird to see all those vehicles waiting for us.
I'm glad we didn't have to use them. It was interesting though.

This is funny because all the flight attendants that I've ever watch tell you that you can't have any electronic devices out while you are landing. Maybe this is why there were problems.
