The Joys of Non-Revving

Today I get the wonderful opportunity to try and get home to Chicago. I decided to come out to Utah for a few days to visit my mother for her birthday. I was nervous to come, because I have to fly stand by. It was easy getting out here, but now I am regretting the decision.

Weather throughout the Midwest was horrible today. It made the tension terrible. I almost got on two different flights and made split second decisions not to bored either. I was so afraid I wouldn't make my other concetions because of weather and to many passangers. I hate not knowing if I'm going to make it.

My last chance out was on a very delayed non stop United flight. There were lots of complications, but I made it on because someone didn't show up. I was very greatful that person didn't make, even though they had 3 and a half hours.

So after only one emotional brake down and 11 hours in airports, I'm glad to be home. To bad I have to go out tomorrow and have a 12 hour day.

Walking tour of San Francisco anyone?

So I’m glad that I’m still alive and have feet. A member of my crew and I decided to conquer San Fran.
We took at train to the Giants stadium and walked everywhere else we went. Sadly I didn’t have on my best pair of walking shoes. On the contrary, I wore tall working shoes. Oops I forgot to Change. We saw so much. I loved walking around. It made me feel more at home.

We walked through China town, Union Square, up to Coit Tower, down and up Lombard Street “aka America’s crookedest street. ” Down fisherman’s Warf , through a nature preserve, some parks and half way up the water’s edge to Golden Gate Bridge. It took us 4 ½ hours. We then ran out of time and had to find a bus back. I took a rest for a moment and when I jumped back on my feet, I thought I was done for. It felt like the soles of my feet had been ripped away. It went away after a little walking though.

Crab vs Clam Chowder

When in San Fran, I usually always eat Clam Chowder in a bread bowl, even though I hate soggy bread.

This time however I saw crab chowder and thought I’d try it. The man gave me a little taste and it was so good. A little spicy, not fishy, it was perfect. I ran to the counter to buy some and must have been too excited when I said crab.

I quickly grabbed my order and walked a ways to the water. I sat down and took the lid off my chowder. It looked a little different. It was lighter in color and I hadn’t noticed the big celery in it. I ignored it and took a bite. That is when I sadly realized, that I had received what I always eat, Clam chowder. I was so depressed, but too lazy to walk back and fix it.

Deceiving Eyes

You never know what you are going to see in San Fran.

I saw the tallest man I’ve ever seen before walking around Union Square.

My other shock was on the Warf when a naked guy was walking very calmly down the street right passed me. He only had a leaf looking thing covering a certain place. There was even a guy walking behind him taking video. No doubt to get all of our shocked faces.
Sorry no picture of the second one. I know your all Disappointed

Computer Update

Well thankgoodness the computer problem wasn't as bad as before. This nice guy named Shamim was very patient with me and helped me fix it.
Random Question? Why are all computer suport guys from India?

I Hate Computers

Today I arrived home in Tremonton to visit my family and what do I get, a crashed computer and an intire morning on the phone with Dell.

They made me do lots of tests. My computer is actually finishing a test as we speak. I had to run down to my parents shed to find the Instalation CD's. I guess it was good I was here when It crashed. The guy is going to call me back in an hour.

I just hope I didn't lose all my files, like I did last November!!

Ice In my Eyes

A few days ago we had a major snowstorm in Chicago. My roommate and I had to go to the airport for work. It was not very easy. I have never had such a difficult time trying to get to the bus stop. The snow was blowing so hard into our eyes that we couldn’t see. We couldn’t even look towards the lake. The snow caked onto our clothing in seconds. We didn’t even wait for the bus, but got a taxi to take us to the train. I was so glad I had a hat. My roommate looked like she just stepped out of the shower. I’m so glad that my flights weren’t cancelled and that I went to San Francisco that night

Quote of the day: Ok I was watching Gilmore Girls and thought it would be good for today.

I love my Sketchers

I walk around a lot since I moved to the city. Today I walked to the grocery store and I decided to put on my running shoes. I don’t wear them very often because they don’t look as classy as some of my other shoes. Yes I'm a closet snob. Anyways, I hadn’t warn them forever and decided to put them on. I had forgotten or didn’t realize how comfortable they were. They were so springy and so nice to walk in. It made me realize how uncomfortable all my other shoes are. I’m defiantly going to where these shoes more often.

Yummy Chicago Pizza!!

So I love pizza, but I really love Chicago style Pizza. There is this place near the Sears tower. It's called Giordano’s. I went there twice last week.

If you don't know what it is. its stuffed pizza. Which is a thin layer of dough that forms a bowl in a high-sided pan, then the toppings and cheese are added. another layer of dough goes on top and is pressed to the sides of the bottom crust. Its sooo yummy!! most people eat it with knife and fork because it's to thick.

The only thing I don't like on it is the side of the crust. I eat everything in the middle because there is tons of it and leave the edge, but hey who doesn't.

St. Patrick's Day in the Windy City

This city is crazy about St. Patty's day!! Everywhere you go they have Signs in windows and on buildings, street vendors and stores have green stuff to buy. They have two big parades and the saturday before St. Patrick's day they turn the river bright green. Its crazy and there are thousands of people walking around the streets dressed all wacky. I even ran into 5 guys in kilts. It was so fun, even though it was freezing outside. Anyways, now I know the place to be for st. patty's day!!!

Chicago Life

So I decided to start righting a blog about my life here in Chicago.
There isn't much but hey I hope you like hearing all the weird things

that are happening or going to happen in my life.

I'll leave you with a picture of the city from the Sears Tower.

It cost me 16 bucks to go up inside it. Crazy prices!!
